Snow Clearing Notice

As the Department of Public Works completes snow removal operations throughout the Borough, residents are reminded that snow cleared from vehicles, sidewalks, and driveways must not be thrown, pushed, or deposited into the roadway. This prohibition includes the use of snow blowers.

Placing snow back into the street creates hazardous driving conditions, obstructs emergency vehicles, and undermines the work already completed by Public Works crews.

Residents are also reminded that, in accordance with Borough ordinance, property owners are responsible for clearing:

Prompt and proper snow removal within 12 hours or storm end helps ensure the safety of pedestrians, motorists, and emergency responders.
