********NIGHTOUT*******

On Tuesday, August 3rd from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the American Legion the Borough will host a free event for its residents and business owners, to highlight the important work of its Police, Fire and Rescue departments.  National Night Out (Against Crime) is a unique crime/drug prevention event designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.  In addition to free food, music and children’s activities, the Police and Fire Departments and Rescue Squad will undertake demonstrations highlighting certain aspects of their work.  The Borough’s Public Works Department will also appear.  All community members are invited to attend to enjoy this fun and educational event.  Note that there will be limited parking on-site; attendees are encouraged to walk to the site via William Street.  For more information, call 908-244-8288.

 

******FIREWORKS*******

Flemington Borough will have their annual firework’s display on Saturday, July 3 in the field next to the Fleming/Reading Intermediate School on Allen Street.  The fireworks will start when it gets dark which should be around 9 p.m but the band will start playing around 7:30.  Get there early so you can be sure to get a good spot.  No rain date necessary since it is supposed to be a beautiful day & evening.

 

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS OF FLEMINGTON WATER COMPANY:

Spring hydrant flushing will begin on May 10, 2010 through May 21, 2010.  We will be flushing hydrants each night in various sections of the Borough, starting at 8:00 p.m. to minimize any inconvenience.  This may result in low water pressure and/or discolored water in the areas being flushed.  This will clear in a short period of time. 

 

SPECIAL MEETING REGARDING THE PARK AVENUE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Flemington Borough will be holding a public meeting on Monday May, 17, 2010 at Flemington Borough Hall, 38 Park Ave. regarding the construction on Park Avenue.  All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Flemington Celebrates 100 Years of Incorporation

Please join Flemington Borough in a week long celebration of events and festivities, beginning with a float in the Memorial Day parade and ending with a picnic  on June 7, with live entertainment and a ceremony commemorating 100 years of incorporation.   For the latest information and details of  all the centennial events please go the Centennial Celebration page on the Borough website.
