Trash Collection

Please place your cans and bags curbside by 7 am Wednesday morning and no earlier than 8 pm Tuesday night. Effective January 2007, the Borough no longer requires stickers to placed on bags or cans. Also, the Borough now allows for bulk items to be placed curbside every Wednesday.

Recycling

Recycling pickup is scheduled for every other Friday. Please co-mingle and tie up newspapers, magazines, and cardboard.

Acceptable Materials: Appliances (stoves, washers, dryers, microwaves, hot water heaters), computers, bicycles, televisions, furniture, carpeting, lawn furniture, old books, toys, doors, screens, windows, non-riding mowers and snow blowers, tools, mattresses.

Unacceptable Materials: Pesticides, herbicides, paint/paint thinners, pool chemicals, hazardous material, flammable materials, riding mowers or other vehicles, construction materials generated by contractor, auto batters, motor oil, stumps, rocks, dirt, stones, concrete, tires, recyclable items, junk vehicles or parts, or excessively heavy items such as pianos. No items with freon including refrigerators, freezers, or air conditioners will be allowed.

In an effort to reduce our environmental impact, the Borough of Flemington encourages residents and business owners to consider donating items, selling items at local consignment stores, or freecycle all items in good, reusable condition.
